UFWC 2011 Annual Picnic

DATE:

Sunday, September 18

PLACE:

Hoopes Park

West Ashbridge Street

West Chester, PA

TIME:

noon to ~3:30

We hope you will join us for our Annual Picnic on Sunday afternoon, September 18. That Sunday is traditionally our gathering together after our summer's excursions. The picnic will be at Hoopes Park on the northwest side of the West Chester borough.

We will feast on burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and vegetarian fare. Buns, condiments, drinks, and paper products will be provided. Bring a salad or dessert to share. We encourage you to bring and/or try some new vegetarian cuisine in support of our Animal Ministry Group and our environment.

We ask for a donation of $5 for adults, $2 for children, to cover the cost of the food and the park rental. Lawn chairs and/or blankets are a good idea but not necessary. In case of bad weather we will picnic in the sanctuary.

Everyone is welcome. There is plenty of space and playground equipment, but parking is limited near the park, so we encourage you to carpool. Bring any game or sport you would like to play. We usually have a pick-up softball game going as well as Frisbee, bocce, and basketball.

This is a great chance to catch up with old and new friends. Don’t miss it. Please respond to the RSVP you will see in Connections in September, so that we can be prepared. Contact Mary Yeager if you have any questions or if you would like to help at email: picnic.
