The Reproductive Rights Task Force was the first social justice activity initiated in the Fellowship under the Task Force model. The Task Force was formed in the 1990s in response to the decision by Planned Parenthood to perform first trimester abortions at its facility in West Chester.

We initially called ourselves the Pro Choice Task Force, and our main purpose was to provide escort and hand-holding services at Planned Parenthood on the days that abortions were being performed. We later changed our name to the Reproductive Rights Task Force and expanded our mission to include advocacy for reproductive rights for men and women in general, but the focus of our efforts remained Planned Parenthood. We had a small corps of volunteers (6-12) who underwent escort training and hand-holding training at Planned Parenthood and who volunteered on a rotating basis on the days that abortions were performed. We joined another contingent from the Main Line Reproductive Rights Task Force in that effort. Flo Miller stepped down from the Fellowship Task Force in 1998, and Robin Garrett took it over, but it is currently inactive.
